Рентген диагностика

Не смотря на то, что рентген-диагностика уже отметила столетие своего возникновения, рентгенологический метод не только остается актуальным, но и во многих случаях единственно эффективным для постановки диагноза.

Vaccination

Throughout their life, our pets are faced with a mass of infectious agents that could lead to the development of various diseases. These diseases are often very dangerous and threaten not only their health, but the animal's life. The most infectious diseases (contagious) are probably viral, and the rest are a number of bacterial and fungal infections. There isn’t the slightest chance of fully protecting your pets from getting infections in their system. There is only one way to reduce the likelihood of diseases developing, and that is by- vaccinating your animal. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that no vaccine can be 100% guaranteed to protect your animal from any diseases. It is simply to reduce the risk of illnesses. For it to be less risky for the animal, rules and guides of vaccinations should carefully be followed.

Today in veterinary medicine there is a wide choice of vaccines and their schemes. Preference for a modern veterinary market gives the so-called polyvalent vaccines, each of which "closes" a number of diseases at once. Here is a list of major diseases against which vaccines are developed: a plague of carnivorous, infectious hepatitis, parvovirus enteritis, leptospirosis, parainflyuentsa, adenovirus and coronavirus infection (dogs), feline panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis virus, calciviroz, chlamydia (cats), myxomatosis and hemorrhagic disease (rabbits ).

It should be remembered that vaccine - is a group of biologically active compounds given for the prevention of various infectious diseases through the development of specific immunity. Violation of laws and schemes of vaccination can not only lead to success, but also harm the animal- the methods for prevention of the disease could also lead for development of it in the system.

To help loving owners, we provide a universal set of rules of vaccination, with which they MUST follow.

1. Vaccination of animals should be carried out under the supervision of a veterinary specialist.

2. Only vaccinate a totally healthy animal, and hence, on one hand- it must be carefully examined by a veterinary doctor, on the other hand - the owner of the animal should have all the relevant information on the animals state, mood, appetite, etc.

3. Vaccination should be preceded after a full de-worming treatment, which consists in giving anthelmintic twice with an interval of 10 days and only a week later the first introduction of the vaccine can be carried out.

4. The vaccination routine depends on the medicine your veterinary doctor prescribes, and as it is explained in the instructions which are attached to each specific vaccine. A number of modern vaccines can be used from four-weeks old. It should be noted that the process of immunization changing vaccines from one to another is unacceptable.

5. In the process of vaccination it is absolutely necessary to observe the quarantine. The quarantine begins from the first introduction of the vaccine into the body, and ending in two weeks after the second injection. Particularly during this period your animal is most susceptible to infectious diseases; therefore you can’t bathe, overcool, overheat, change diets, subject to stress, have contact with other animals, and change the conditions of maintenance of the animal.

As an example, here is the standard pattern of a dog vaccination polyvalent vaccine Vanguard Plus 5 / L:

Vaccination of puppies starts at 1.5-2 months old, before vaccinating is a mandatory to go through de-worming treatment twice with an interval of 10 days. After 7 days of the second anthelminthic (de-worming) is performed, the first injection of vaccine is given, revaccination is after 21-28 days (preferably on the 21st day to not prolong the quarantine in the animal). The follow-up of the medicine should be done after the teeth change (aged 6-8 months), then after a year, and then annually with a single dehelminthization for 7-10 days. Only when following the whole multistage scheme, you can hope for the result of durable immunity. Naturally all this is done with full control over the animals’ health. In the event of any disturbances, the vaccination is transferred to a future date.

The following regards vaccination against fungal skin lesions (microspores and trichophytosis). Vaccines are aimed at this and can be used for prevention of these diseases and to treat them. The choice of vaccine and schemes of its application is best to provide to your trusted veterinary doctor, as it is different in each case. This is especially applies to already ill or had been ill animals.

Separate topic for discussion - vaccination against rabies.

Rabies - a deadly viral disease, that causes a serious and irreversible damage to the nervous system. This incurable disease is susceptible to all mammals, including humans. Vaccination against rabies is compulsery for all types of pets. It must be done exclusively by a qualified veterinary specialist. Animals can be vaccinated starting from the age of three months; the vaccine should be repeated annually throughout the life of the provisional dehelminthization.

Finally it is highly recommended to get a personal passport or veterinary patient card (health card) for your pet, in which, all vaccinations against infectious diseases with the date, medicine name, its serial number and veterinary doctors information is written in. We wish strong health to your pet, and remember: "The future of medicine is preventive medicine."
